NIOS Hall Ticket 2026 Out – Download Class 10, 12 Admit Card @ sdmis.nios.ac.in

Short Information: The National Institute of Open Schooling has released the NIOS Hall Ticket 2026 for Class 10 and 12 October theory exams. Download it from sdmis.nios.ac.in with your 12-digit enrolment number. Exams run from 22 October 2026.

Exams start on 22 October. That’s four days away. If you’re an NIOS student and you haven’t downloaded your hall ticket yet, this is your sign to stop scrolling and get it done — because without it, you don’t sit the exam. No exceptions, no last-minute fixes at the centre.

The good news: the NIOS Hall Ticket 2026 is out for the October theory exams, for both Secondary (Class 10) and Senior Secondary (Class 12). The download takes two minutes if your details are in order. Here’s everything you need, in order.

What You Need Before You Click Download

Keep two things handy:

  • Your 12-digit enrolment number — the one on your NIOS identity card and exam registration.
  • The hall ticket type — you’ll pick it from a dropdown on the portal (theory exam for the October 2026 public exams).

One condition catches students out every session: your hall ticket is generated only if you’ve paid the exam fee for the October 2026 public examination and your photograph is available with NIOS. If either is missing, the portal won’t produce a hall ticket — and that’s a problem to sort with your Regional Centre, not something that fixes itself.

How to Download the NIOS Hall Ticket 2026

  1. Go to the official NIOS hall ticket portal: sdmis.nios.ac.in/search/hall-ticket.
  2. Enter your 12-digit enrolment number in the field provided.
  3. Select the hall ticket type for the theory examination.
  4. Submit the details and wait for your hall ticket to appear.
  5. Download it, and take a clear printout. A phone screenshot is not a substitute at the exam centre.

Stick to the official portal. Unofficial “download” sites that ask for extra details or payments are not NIOS, and handing them your enrolment number buys you nothing but risk.

NIOS October 2026 Exam Window

ClassTheory Exam Window
Secondary (Class 10)22 October – 7 December 2026
Senior Secondary (Class 12)22 October – 5 December 2026

Those are the overall windows. Your exact subject dates, timings and centre are on your own hall ticket — check them against the official date sheet rather than going by a friend’s timetable. Two students in the same course can have different papers on different days.

Check These Details the Moment It Downloads

  • Your name and enrolment number — spelled exactly as in your records.
  • Your class and course.
  • Subject names and their exam dates.
  • Your exam centre’s name and address.
  • Reporting time and exam timings.
  • The instructions printed on the hall ticket.

Found a mistake? Contact NIOS through its official channels — your Regional Centre — straight away. The NIOS helpline is 1800-180-9393. Don’t wait until the morning of the exam; corrections take time, and exam-day counters can’t reprint a corrected ticket on the spot.

If Your Hall Ticket Doesn’t Generate

First, don’t panic — but don’t ignore it either. The portal itself says: if your hall ticket isn’t generated, contact your Regional Centre immediately. Usually it comes down to an unpaid exam fee or a missing photograph. Either way, the Regional Centre is the only office that can sort it. Keep your fee payment receipt and enrolment details with you when you call or visit.

One more thing worth knowing: the hall ticket you download is for immediate information and exam-day use. NIOS notes that the original documents are issued separately — so keep the printout safe, and don’t treat a forwarded PDF from someone else as your ticket.

Use the Next Four Days Well

Four days isn’t a lot, but it’s enough to turn a shaky subject into a passable one — if you spend it on the right things.

First, work backwards from your own date sheet. Your first paper is the one that matters most right now, not the one you’re most afraid of three weeks from now. Give the first two papers the bulk of your remaining hours, and keep the later ones to light revision until their turn comes.

Second, practise writing by hand. NIOS theory papers are written exams, and students who’ve spent months reading on screens often find their hand cramping halfway through the first answer. One timed answer a day, written out in full on paper, fixes that faster than any amount of re-reading.

Third, sort the logistics now, not on exam morning. If your centre is in an unfamiliar part of town, check the route and the travel time today. If you need to arrange transport, arrange it today. Exam morning is the worst possible time to discover that your usual bus doesn’t run early enough.

And one thing nobody tells open-school students often enough: your result counts exactly the same as any other board’s. NIOS is a national board under the Ministry of Education, and its Secondary and Senior Secondary certificates are recognised for higher education, jobs and competitive exams across India. The flexible schedule doesn’t make the certificate second-class — it makes the path to it different. Walk into that hall like you belong there, because you do.

Exam-Day Basics

  • Carry the printed hall ticket on every exam day. No hall ticket, no entry — that’s the rule NIOS states plainly.
  • Carry a valid photo ID along with it.
  • Reach the centre well before your reporting time. First-day crowds and centre-finding eat more time than you’d expect.
  • Follow the instructions on the hall ticket about what you can and can’t carry inside.
