RRB JE City Intimation Slip 2026 Out – Check CBT 1 Exam City @ rrb.digialm.com

Your RRB JE exam city is out — here’s what to do with it

Good news if you applied for RRB JE 2026. The Railway Recruitment Boards have switched on the city intimation link for the first-stage CBT, and you can now see which city your exam will be held in. The slip went live on 17 October 2026, and it covers both exam days — 27 and 28 October.

One thing to get straight before anything else: this slip is not your admit card. You can’t walk into the exam hall with it. What it does is tell you your exam city and date early, so you can book travel and stop guessing. The actual e-call letter — the admit card — comes separately, about four days before your exam.

RRB JE City Intimation Slip 2026 — quick facts

How to check your RRB JE exam city

The link sits on your regional RRB’s website — the board you applied through. It takes about a minute:

1. Open the official website of your regional RRB (or the exam city link given in the 17 October notice).
2. Look for the link titled “Exam City & Date Intimation — CEN 04/2026” or similar.
3. Enter your Registration Number and Date of Birth, then submit.
4. Your allotted exam city, exam date and shift will appear on screen.
5. Note them down. SC/ST candidates can download their Travel Authority from the same link.

If your city hasn’t appeared yet, don’t panic. The notice says the city shows up roughly 10 days before your own exam date, so it may simply not be your turn yet. Check again after a day.

RRB JE CBT 1 exam pattern

CBT 1 is a 90-minute computer-based test with 100 questions worth 100 marks. Here’s the subject-wise split:

Eligible PwBD candidates using a scribe get 120 minutes. And yes, there is negative marking in RRB JE — one-third of a mark comes off for every wrong answer, so blind guessing across the whole paper is a losing strategy. Attempt what you know, take calculated risks on the rest.

Shift timings — reach early, no excuses

The exam runs in three shifts each day. Your slip shows your shift; the reporting time on your admit card is what counts on exam day.

Gate closure is real. If you’re late, you’re not getting in, however far you’ve travelled. Plan to reach the centre at least an hour before reporting time, especially if your city is new to you.

Three things worth knowing before exam day

• Aadhaar biometric check: RRB will carry out Aadhaar-linked biometric authentication at the centre before you enter the hall. Carry your Aadhaar card along with your admit card and a photo ID.
• City slip ≠ entry pass: Don’t print the city slip thinking it gets you inside. Only the e-call letter plus ID proof works at the gate.
• Helpdesk: The 17 October notice carries a helpdesk number working Monday to Saturday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, for login or city-slip problems.

If the login throws an error, first re-check your registration number and date-of-birth format — that’s the cause nine times out of ten. If it still fails, use the helpdesk rather than a random YouTube “fix” video.

What happens after CBT 1

CBT 1 is the screening stage. Candidates who clear it move to CBT 2, followed by document verification and medical examination as per the CEN. Your CBT 1 score decides whether you get that call, so these last few days matter more than any new material. Revise what you’ve already studied, attempt a couple of timed mock tests in the real 90-minute format, and sort your travel now that the city is known.

FAQs — RRB JE City Intimation Slip 2026

Is the RRB JE city intimation slip the same as the admit card?

No. The city slip only tells you your exam city, date and shift so you can plan travel. The admit card (e-call letter) is a separate document, released about 4 days before your exam, and only that gets you into the hall.

When will the RRB JE admit card 2026 be released?

Admit cards come out roughly 4 days before each exam date — from 23 October for candidates whose exam is on 27 October, and from 24 October for those on 28 October.

What login details do I need to check my exam city?

Your Registration Number and Date of Birth, as given at the time of application. Both are on your application confirmation.

My city is not showing yet. What should I do?

The city appears about 10 days before your own exam date. If your exam is on the later date, wait a day and check again. If it still doesn’t show, contact the RRB helpdesk mentioned in the 17 October notice.

Can SC/ST candidates get travel help?

Yes. SC/ST candidates can download their Travel Authority from the same exam-city link. Keep it with you while travelling to the exam city.
