Ten days. That’s how close the first PET paper is — and your admit card is already waiting.
The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) released the PET 2026 admit card on 15 October 2026. If you registered for the Preliminary Eligibility Test, you can download your hall ticket right now from upsssc.gov.in. The exam runs on three days — 25 October, 30 October and 1 November 2026 — in two shifts each day, and your exact date, shift and centre are printed on your admit card.
One honest warning before the steps: PET is the gateway exam for UP’s Group B and Group C recruitments. Skip it, and a whole year of UPSSSC vacancies closes to you. Download the card today. Don’t be the candidate refreshing the site on exam eve.

How to Download the UPSSSC PET Admit Card 2026
- Visit the official UPSSSC website at upsssc.gov.in.
- On the homepage, go to the Examination section and click “Download PET Exam Admit Card”.
- You’ll reach a login page. Enter your Registration Number and Date of Birth in DD/MM/YYYY format.
- Select your gender and fill in the verification code shown on screen.
- Click Submit. Your admit card will appear on screen.
- Download it, and print a clear copy on A4 paper. Keep a soft copy on your phone too.
If the portal crawls, try late evening. Lakhs of candidates log in together in the first two days, and UPSSSC’s site feels it.
Check These Details the Moment You Download It
- Your name, photo and signature — a blurred or distorted photo is worth re-downloading.
- Exam date and shift — three exam days, two shifts each. Your shift is the only one that matters.
- Exam centre and district — UPSSSC is running PET across 45 districts. Plan your travel now, not on exam morning.
- Reporting time — reach well before it. Frisking, barcode checks and seating take time, and gates don’t wait.
- Instructions on the card — what to carry, what to leave behind. The card’s list beats anything you’ve heard elsewhere.
Found a mistake? Contact UPSSSC through the official channels immediately. And no — the city slip you downloaded earlier is not an entry pass. Only the admit card gets you into the hall.
What to Carry on Exam Day
Keep it simple: your printed admit card, one valid photo ID proof, and a couple of passport-size photos if your card asks for them. Carry a blue/black ballpoint pen. Leave your phone, smartwatch, calculator and study notes at home — the frisking is real, and a banned item can end your exam before it starts.
Why PET Matters More Than It Looks
PET isn’t a job exam by itself. It’s the eligibility test. Your PET score decides whether you can apply for the Group B and Group C recruitments UPSSSC advertises through the year — Lekhpal, Junior Assistant, Forest Guard, and dozens of others. A strong PET score keeps every door open; a missed PET closes them all at once. Treat these two hours seriously.
