HPSC HCS Final Result 2026 Out – 101 Recommended, Service Allocation List

Short Information: HPSC declared the HCS Final Result 2026 on 17 October. 101 candidates have been recommended for 102 posts with service allocation — check the merit list PDF on hpsc.gov.in.

It’s finally out — and if you sat through the HPSC interviews earlier this month, this is the list you’ve been waiting for. The Haryana Public Service Commission has published the HPSC HCS Final Result 2026, along with the service allocation for the Haryana Civil Services (Executive Branch) and Other Allied Services Examination 2025, on its official website hpsc.gov.in.

The headline number first: 101 candidates have been recommended for appointment against 102 advertised posts. One post has been kept vacant, and the notice itself explains why — we’ll get to that in a minute, because it’s the detail most summaries skip.

Why 101 Recommendations for 102 Posts?

Fair question, and the Commission answers it in the notice itself. Two things happened. First, against the 2 District Food and Supplies Controller (DFSC) posts, only 1 candidate has been allotted. Second, one PwBD-HH post has been kept vacant because a clarification from the Government is still pending. So nobody’s seat has quietly vanished — the gap is explained on the face of the result.

There’s one more caveat you should know about before celebrating or planning anything around the list. The result is subject to the outcome of writ petitions (CWPs) and an LPA pending before the Punjab and Haryana High Court — the case numbers are printed in Note 3 of the official PDF. The Commission has also reserved the right to correct any inadvertent error at a later stage. Standard language, yes, but don’t treat the allocation as untouchable until those cases are settled.

Post-Wise Breakup of the HPSC HCS Final Result 2026

Here’s how the 102 posts split across services. Excise and Taxation Officer takes the biggest share, followed by HCS (Executive Branch) and Assistant Excise and Taxation Officer.

HCS (Executive Branch)24
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP)8
Excise and Taxation Officer (ETO)27
District Food and Supplies Controller (DFSC)2
Assistant Registrar Cooperative Societies (ARCS)3
District Food and Supplies Officer (DFSO)1
Assistant Excise and Taxation Officer (AETO)22
Traffic Manager (TM)7
‘A’ Class Tehsildar (Apprentice)3

Total102

Category-wise, the notice gives 46 General/Unreserved, 13 DSC, 10 OSC, 15 BC (A), 7 BC (B) and 11 EWS posts, plus 5 ESM and 7 PwBD slots. Categories are printed as “of Haryana” in the notice — DSC, OSC, BC (A), BC (B), EWS, ESM and PwBD all carry that tag.

How to Download the HPSC HCS Final Result PDF

  1. Go to the HPSC official website at hpsc.gov.in.
  2. Look for the result notice for the HCS (Ex. Br.) & Other Allied Services Examination 2025 under the latest announcements or results section.
  3. Open the final result and service allocation PDF (Advt. 22/2026).
  4. Search the PDF for your roll number — the list gives your allotted cadre right next to your name.
  5. Download and save a copy. You’ll need it for document verification and every appointment-related step that follows.

Seriously — don’t rely on a screenshot someone forwarded on WhatsApp. Open the official PDF yourself and check your roll number, category and cadre with your own eyes.

What Should Selected Candidates Do Next?

If your name is on the list, the waiting isn’t quite over, but the hard part is done. Keep these steps in mind:

  • Read the full result notice, including its notes on court cases and error correction — not just the page with your name.
  • Watch hpsc.gov.in and Haryana Government announcements for appointment, document verification and joining instructions.
  • Keep your original documents ready: graduation certificate and marksheets, category certificate where applicable, Haryana domicile documents, and a valid identity proof.
  • A separate roll-number-wise interview marks document is also available on the official site — check your marks and keep a copy for your records.

And if your name isn’t there? That stings, and there’s no dressing it up. HCS runs on a yearly cycle, and the interview marks document is genuinely useful feedback — it tells you exactly where the gap was, instead of leaving you guessing.

What Service Allocation Actually Means

Getting recommended is one thing; the cadre printed next to your name decides what your working life looks like for years. HCS (Executive Branch) officers typically move through district administration — SDM-level responsibilities, then up the state administrative ladder. DSP means the police hierarchy, with its own training and service rules. ETO and AETO sit in the excise and taxation setup, DFSC and DFSO in food and supplies, ARCS in cooperative societies, and Traffic Manager in transport. The Tehsildar and Naib Tehsildar (Apprentice) posts are the revenue-administration entry points, and “Apprentice” here means a training period before confirmation, not a lesser status.

Allocation follows merit and the preferences candidates filled in, read against the vacancies in each category. That’s why two candidates with near-identical merit can land in different services — preference order matters as much as rank once you’re inside the recommended list. If your allotted cadre isn’t your first choice, check the notice’s notes before assuming a mistake has been made; the allocation table in the PDF is the authoritative record, and it’s built from exactly that merit-plus-preference logic.
