RRB NTPC UG CBT 2 Result 2026 Out – CEN 07/2025 Merit List, CBTST 27 Nov

Short Information: RRB released the NTPC UG CBT 2 result on 30 October 2026 under CEN 07/2025 for 3,058 posts. Zone-wise merit lists, scorecards and cut-offs are out, with the typing skill test tentatively set for 27 November 2026.

If you sat the RRB NTPC Undergraduate CBT 2 on 17 September, the wait is over — at least for the first batch of zones. The Railway Recruitment Boards released the NTPC UG CBT 2 result on 30 October 2026 under CEN 07/2025, along with individual scorecards and zone-wise cut-off marks. But here’s the catch you need to know upfront: this result is coming out board by board, not all at once. So if your zone hasn’t appeared yet, that doesn’t mean you missed it. It means your RRB hasn’t uploaded its list yet.

The recruitment itself is for 3,058 Non-Technical Popular Categories (Undergraduate) posts — the 10+2 level NTPC roles. Around 45,898 candidates appeared for CBT 2, and those whose roll numbers appear in their zone’s PDF are provisionally shortlisted for the Computer Based Typing Skill Test (CBTST), tentatively scheduled for 27 November 2026.

Result Snapshot: Zones Published So Far

The first notices, dated 30 October 2026, came from RRB Ajmer (693 candidates provisionally shortlisted), RRB Bengaluru (204 candidates) and RRB Ahmedabad (162 candidates), with Ajmer and Ahmedabad also publishing category-wise cut-offs. Other zones named in the rollout include Bilaspur, Chennai, Gorakhpur, Patna and Siliguri, and more boards are expected to follow. The Ajmer and Bengaluru links went live on 30 October 2026 at 5:00 pm, while the Ahmedabad notice states its link is live from 31 October 2026.

How to Check Your RRB NTPC UG CBT 2 Result

  1. Go to the website of the regional RRB you applied through, or start at rrb.indianrailways.gov.in and follow your zone’s link.
  2. Open the results section and find the CEN 07/2025 NTPC Undergraduate CBT 2 result notice.
  3. Download the result PDF for your zone.
  4. Search the PDF for your roll number (Ctrl+F on a computer, or the find option on your phone’s PDF reader).
  5. If your roll number is listed, you are provisionally shortlisted for the CBTST. Save the PDF and note your zone’s cut-off.

Two things worth knowing about that PDF. First, roll numbers appear in ascending order, not in merit order — so your position in the list says nothing about your rank. Second, shortlisting at this stage is provisional. It stays subject to document verification and medical examination further down the line.

Your Scorecard: Where the Real Detail Lives

The merit PDF only tells you whether you’re in. Your individual scorecard, available through the DigiALM portal (rrb.digialm.com) with your registration number and date of birth or password, shows your marks, normalised score where applicable, and your qualifying or shortlisting status. Download it even if your name is in the PDF — you’ll want it when the CBTST call letter and document verification rounds come around, and portals have a habit of getting busy exactly when you need them most.

Cut-Offs: Read Your Zone’s, Not Someone Else’s

Cut-off marks are published separately by each regional RRB, and they vary by zone, post and candidate category. A cut-off you saw quoted for Ajmer tells you nothing about Patna or Chennai. Always read the cut-off PDF from your own RRB, for your own post and category, before deciding where you stand.

What If Your Zone’s Result Isn’t Out Yet?

Don’t panic, and don’t trust a random social media post claiming a date. Keep checking your regional RRB’s website — that’s the only place your result will actually appear. In the meantime, if you’re anywhere near the expected cut-off range, start practising typing. The CBTST is tentatively dated 27 November 2026, which leaves less than a month after the result. Candidates who start typing practice only after the CBTST notice lands are the ones scrambling.

The Posts Behind the Result

NTPC Undergraduate covers the 10+2 level commercial and clerical roles in the railways: Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Accounts Clerk cum Typist, Junior Clerk cum Typist and Trains Clerk. Different posts carry different next stages — the typing skill test applies where the post requires it, which is why the CBTST matters so much for this particular shortlist. If your post doesn’t require typing, your route after CBT 2 follows the document verification path for that post instead, so read your zone’s notice for the post you applied to rather than assuming every shortlisted candidate faces the same next step.

And a word about the scorecard versus the merit PDF, because candidates mix them up every cycle. The PDF is a list — it proves you’re shortlisted and nothing more. The scorecard is your record: marks, normalised score, qualifying status. Keep both downloaded and backed up. When the CBTST admit card or the verification call comes, you’ll be asked for details from both, and digging them out of a busy portal under deadline pressure is exactly the kind of avoidable stress this post is trying to save you from.
